Black and white photograph of a member of the 8th Infantry posing on the roof of the Patten Hotel. The man, identified on the rear as Henry Klemm, is standing with one leg up on the parapet wall while one hand rests on his knee. He has a patch on his uniform shoulder that identifies him as a member of the US Army 8th Infantry Division. He is wearing a cotton US Army summer khaki, enlisted issue uniform and he has a garrison cap on his head. In the background of the photograph, the Read House is prominently featured with the Union Station across the street. Cameron Hill can be seen in the background.
