Description

A black and white photograph mounted on a cabinet card showing Little Tillie Showers, the World's Smallest Contortionist. The photograph shows the young girl wearing a pair of white ballet flats and tights and with a white bloomer and blouse. Her arms are crossed across her chest and she is looking up to the top right corner of the photograph. She is standing in front of a studio backdrop with a lace covered table beside her. The gutter of the card is marked "Schmedling 828 Market St. Chattanooga, Tenn." The rear reads "Little Tillie Showers Smallest Living Contortionist" in ink. She was listed as an act in the King & Franklin New Colossal Shows and Great Wild West in 1888.
