A postcard with the front showing a photograph of "Spiel" of the famous Lookout Mountain guide. The man is standing between to historical markers on Point Lookout on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.
The rear reads "You have now reached the top of Lookout Mountain—this incline is 7/8th of a mile long and is the steepest cable incline and has the reputation of scaring more people than any other road in the world. You will now go with me over my road, the T. P. & W. (Take Pains and Walk) I am president of this road and have never had an accident. I will give you $10.00 worth for 50 cents, that is more than any other guide can do. I will show you Point Rock, Moccasin Bend, Umbrella Rock, Damon and Pythias, Dionecious Mahommeds' tomb, Flue to the David's fire place, Twin Sisters, Siamese Twins, and a hundred and one heterogenious conglomerations too numerous to mention. But follow me and we will see them all.
