Description

A black and white photograph mounted on cabinet card of a family group. The photograph was taken during the 1890 United Confederate Veterans Reunion. The photograph shows a family posed in front of a white sheet that has been hung between a tree and a carriage. The family group consists of three rows of men and women with the man on the far right, presumably Grandfather Robert, missing an arm. The rear of the card has a flowered pattern with a center square with an image of a man's hands holding a box camera that reads: "Manufactures of the Kodak Camera The Eastman Company 115 Oxford Street London Rochester NY" Written in pencil on the back is "Your Confederate [illeg.] Great Grandfather[?] Robert lost his arm in the 1864." Below that in black ink reads: "July 4, 1890 Chattanooga U.C.V. Papa on right Co. A R.C.G. lost his arm...."
