A black and white photograph mounted on a cabinet card with a gold beveled edge showing a silhouette of a young man. He is wearing a dark suit coat with a stiff collar and ascot. He is identified on the verso as Albert H. Bowen. The card is imprinted "Hardie Bros. Photographer, Sunset Rock and Lookout Point Galleries Lookout Mountain, Tenn." There is also a purple ink stamp that reads "Polytechnic Art Institute Cincinatti, O No. ______" with 6318 written in pen above. Handwritten on the verso at the top of the card is: Albert H. Bowen. "To Helen Bowen October 8th, 1894 [illeg.]"
