Color postcard of the Point Hotel off of Point Lookout. The view shows the Point Hotel rear and side façade with Lookout Mountain behind it. Four of the hotel's porches are visible as is the flat roof of the hotel. Moccasin Bend is seen in the foreground with the Tennessee River surrounding it. The postcard is labeled "CHATTANOOGA, Tenn, Point Lookout and Hotel, Lookout Mountain" in clue in the white gutter at the bottom of the card. "With love, Elizabeth" is written in black ink at right.
The information on the rear reads "POINT LOOKOUT AND HOTEL, LOOKOUT | MOUNTAIN. Lookout Mountain, 2200 feet above the sea | level ranks as one of the "show places: of America. | There are many beautiful, grand and inspiring views from the | "Point", and here is located the Point Hotel, erected in 1887. | On Nov. 24 th 1863, the famous "Battle above the Clouds" | was fought on the mountain."
