Letter from the Chattanooga Machinery Company to the Battery Machinery Company dated 15 November 1906. The letterhead has the Chattanooga Machinery Co. logo at top left as well as a decorative type at top center that reads "Chattanooga Machinery Co. | Founders and Machinists | Manufaturers of Saw Mill, Wood Working and | Special Machinery | Insulator Pin, | Bracket and Cross Arm | Machinery. | The Catlin Keyseater. | Chattanooga, Tenn. U.S.A. | All Contracts and Agreements Subject to Strikes and Other Causes Beyond Our Control." At top left, the letterhead reads A.D. Catlin, President | W.B. Catlin, Vice President" and "C.H. Huston, Secretary | Z.W. Wheland, Treasurer" at top right. The letter reads: "Battey Machinery Co., Rome, Ga. Gentlemen: Your favor of the 14th inst. has just been received and in reply we are pleased to advise that we are having a supply of Climax Shingle Machine Circulars printed for you and as this will take two or three days, we are sending you a dozen with our name on them. We will be plaeased to keep you supplied with all of the printed matter you can distribute and we hope that a number of sales will result from it. Yours very truly, h/w" The letter is stamped at bottom right that it was received by the Battey Machine Company 16 November 1906.
