Description

The president Beaver Methodist Church was erected in 1909. Reverend A. L. Vandegriff served as the first pastor. In 1954 additional sunny school rooms were built. Thomas Dent is superintendent of the Sunday school, which has an enrollment of 225. In 1958, active membership in the church was 81. The oldest active groups in the church are the W. S. C. S. and loyal workers class. Other active organizations are: Junior Christian Association, and junior and senior youth groups. Reverend Clyde Webster is now the pastor.
