Description

John Thomas Smith was born in Pike County, Ohio on February 26, 1855. He died in Latham, Ohio on December 30, 1932. He was buried in Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly, Ohio. Mr. Smith was a prominent merchant for many years in Pike County. He was formerly a county commissioner and served several terms on the Pike County Board of Education. He was a founding member of Smith Chapel Church in Christ at Latham. He was survived by his wife Cora Beekman.
