Description

Commemorative plate from 1958. The present Methodist Episcopal Church in Beaver, Ohio was erected in 1909. The reverend A. L. Vandegriff served as the first pastor. In 1954 additional Sunday school rooms were built. Thomas Dent is superintendent of the Sunday school which has an enrollment of 225. In 1958, the active membership in the church is 81. The oldest active groups in the church are the W. S. C. S. And the loyal workers class. Other active organizations are: Junior Christian Association, and junior and senior youth groups. Reverend Clyde Webster is now the pastor.
