Newspaper at the time reads as follows the 50th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Halterman was celebrated at their home in Beaver, Ohio, on August 1. All their nine children represent and many grandchildren. And also Mr. Henry Alvin of Schubert, Nebraska, and Mrs. Katherine Trenner of Springfield, Ohio, a brother and sister of Mrs. Halterman. A bountiful dinner was served at noon and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent by all.
