George Nagel, aged 73, died in Portsmouth OH on January 29, 1935. He was born in Cincinnati OH on January 3, 1862 the son of German immigrants Martin Edward and Kunigunda Scholl Nagel Sr. He was educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools. He married Louise Vogel on February 18, 1890. He lived for times in Johnstown PA, Springfield OH, and Portsmouth OH. George became a barber and ran his own shop. After his wife’s death he moved to Beaver to live with his sister’s family, Barbara Schrader. There he continued his barber’s trade. Louise was born on June 24, 1861, and died in Athens OH on January 22, 1924, at the age of 62. George was a member of Holy Redeemer Church and the Barber’s Union. George and Louise were buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth.Photograph Details
