This bill was sent to the Nicolet and Ballard Company of Beaver, Ohio from the Oliver E. Emory Company of California. F. J. Nicolet and William R. Ballard along with David Nutt had the first telephone service brought to the village in 1898-99 when the lines are installed from the depot to town.
