To perfect the annual is her goal. To work at Dude's, Judy did choose, A date with Wayne she’d never refuse. Preston, the fellow with the brown hair, Goes with Judy, who lives near here. An all around athlete is he, And a great guy, we all agree. Donna, who is known by all, Is, as you know, not very tall, Writing letters she likes to do, And promises Max she will be true. Clyde, who lives near town, Still in his car is often found To rod his Chevy is his delight, Especially with the gang at night. If you are walking down the street, Roger with his papers you will meet, This lad also likes to hunt and fish, To be a professional artist is his wish. Pat, whom we know by name, Has a giggle that has won her fame To school she has a very short walk, And for her pastime, she likes to talk. Down the highways, Jay would fly, With his Chevy he's quite the guy, When the time comes to get a date, Nancy seems to rate. Jerry, the boy with the wavy black hair, Is a quiet guy, without a care, To him Government class is a quiz, A regular guy this kid is. And Ellarose is the favored girl, As everybody knows, ’Tis plain, she’s quite the choice, Of the Senior’s only "rose. " Another dancing damsel, A regular circus clown, Graces the Senior class In the form of Barbara Brown. And there is another member, Who’s always very busy, Her name is Nancy McGuire, But Sharon calls her "Lizzie. " And there is Darlene Pennington, She’s always at the top, In any undertaking, She never makes a "flop. " Hugo is a member of the S. U. A. Playing basketball, made him gay, Smoking he did often go, Or else to Jackson to see a show. This class has worked together, We've had our share o fun; But when we look in retrospect at the setting of 01 sun, I wonder if a one of us can say we did our best, When we were Hi School Students in DEAR OLD B. H. S CLASS POEM Near Givens lives this girl, Who on the dance floor likes to twirl, Popular music, Wilma likes to hear, To be Bob’s wife, is her chosen career. I predict that Barbara G. Will soon be teaching dancing, There’s so much music in her heels, That she is always prancing. This lad who made it a point to have fun, Goes by the name of Jack Brown, To the annual club he does belong And for his pastime, Oak Hill, here he comes. Carl, the statistician of our school, Does his job well, as a rule, To work on the farm he didn’t mind But when it comes to pleasure, the time he finds. In our class is Lee, so shy, Who would never flirt with a guy, To ride the bus to and from school, She didn't mind at all to do. Ruth is fair at typing, She's not so hot a reader, But if she's good at nothing else, She IS a good eater. Nancy, a quiet girl, Seems to set Eugene a whirl, Who at home sews and cooks, Her short, brown hair adds to her looks. Raymond, a guy who is great, In his Ford, picks up Janie, his date. Class Prophecy In a large apartment house a New York Scientist, Mr. Raymond P. Swan, and his wife, the former Sharon West, are sitting before his television set which he has just in vented, a television that enables him to look into the homes of people throughout the world. They must see something interesting. Now they’re laughing. How exciting! I can’t stand the suspense any longer. Let’s peek over their shoulders. What is this we see? The scene is a large Air Force classroom; the officer is just beginning his morning lecture. Shall we listen? Gentlemen, the report has just come through that Lieutenant Jack D. Brown, leader pilot of the outer space patrol, has just completed the first successful mission to the moon, and reports have it that he is con sidering going beyond the moon. That voice sounds familiar. Why, he looks familiar. It’s none other than our old classmate, General Jerry Mullins, of the United States Air Force. Now, the scene changes. My! What a huge beauty salon. It must have a brilliant manager. That name on the door, Vulgamore, looks very familiar. Could it be Pres ton? Let’s go inside. After talking to the beauticians, I find that Preston is their boss, and Donna Kay Hale has a permanent job with him. After 10 years of begging, she finally said yes to him. The next picture is that of WRKO. The announcer is speaking, "Ladies and gentle men, it is our great pleasure to present the nationally known singer, Judy Ann Walls, the former Judy Ann Brust, accompanied by her band--The Davis Trio. ” Need we say more? Now we see a circus. One sideshow looks especially interesting. The speaker is telling about some trained fleas. He says they can do anything from playing football to washing the supper dishes. The trainer must be a genius; let’s get a view of the show. Here is the table on which the fleas are performing. They can do even more than the announcer said. Here’s one flea .getting his history lesson. How educated they must be. Here comes the trainer. WELL! If it isn’t Hugo Cuadill. The picture changes to a farm yard. Five growing children are playing in the yard. Tiring of watching the others playing quietly, the oldest boy begins to hit his smaller sister. She immediately begins to cry. A tired looking woman comes to the door. "Ronnie Jr., " she yells, "If you don’t stop fighting this minute, I’ll tell your father when he comes home. " I hate to say this but she looks like Barbara Gilliland. The first thing we see in this picture is a small mailbox with the name "Mr. and Mrs. James Allen" printed on the side in large letters. A girl is putting a handful of letters into the box. If we look closer we can see that the letters are all addressed to Findlay College. Dear, Dear! You won’t have to guess who this is. It’s Ellarose Allen. What’s this we see? A large chicken farm. Now who could be the owner. Sud denly someone calls. The chickens run toward her. As she throws the feed, one rooster flutters to her shoulder. She shoos him off, but we see that she is beaming. She certainly must be proud of her chickens. Who is she? Darlene Pennington, the Cham pion poultry raiser of Ohio. Sharon West and Nancy McGuire The next scene does not come clear. It seems to be a very stormy night. A car is battling its way to a farmhouse. Finally, the Buick reaches its destination and the driver parks the car and hurries toward the house. He carries a small bag. We cannot see his face, but as the light from the open door shines on the bag, we see the words, "Carl C. Gunnoe, M. D. " What is this? A Hollywood studio! The director has called, "Time out, " and the actors and actresses are drinking orange juice while they rest. But in one corner there is a crowd of men. Now what could have happened? The crowd is so large that I can not see what is taking place. The director calls, "In your places!" But no one hears him. Walking up to the crowd, he yells, "What goes on here?" James Darren turns to him, "Why, don’t you know? All the guys are crazy about that new actress, Pat Hall, who plays the part of a bashful young lover so well. " Oh! She’s so pretty. MY! MY! Now we see an office. On the door is printed, "Lee Holbrook, Interior Decorator." Well; it looks as if she's made a name for herself after all. The next picture shows the Parallel Plastics Plant is under new management. It is owned and supervised by Mrs. Nancy Branham, the former Nancy Adams. This is one way of keeping Eugene working. As the scene changes again, there is a noise. Such meowing! When the mist dis appears and the picture becomes clear, we see a large line of cats. What does that mean? Over at the side of the line is a crowd. Before them stand two men. Perhaps they will explain the meaning. Yes--one man is speaking; "It is an honor to award this small baby kitten and this medal to Wilma Slone, the champion cat caller. " Well, that's explained! A news flash comes over the screen. Professor Clyde Balzer has just blown up Lucasville High School. Seems as if one of the students walked in while he was mixing chemicals. When will he learn that love and chemistry do not mix. This scene is very queer. All we can see is the newspaper lying on the table. Per haps if we can get a close-up view, we will know more about it. Well, what’s this 1 see? A picture of a girl. Haven’t I seen her somewhere before? I couldn’t have, for the headlines say, "Rich Society Girl Weds Count. " I never knew a society girl. Let's see what’s printed about her anyway. Ruth Jenkins, New York's glamour girl, No. 1, has just announced her marriage to Count Roger Brown. A Countess! Nice going, Ruth.’ Here we see the White House. Now, who could live here that we know? It seems to be Easter, and the President and his wife are having the Annual Egg Rolling Contest on the White House lawn. I have never seen the President before, but the first lady is the one and only, Barbara Brown. We now get a glimpse of a large group of office buildings. On the door of one we see the name, "Jay Picklesimer, Attorney at Law. ’’ Inside the outer office we see the name on the desk, "Nancy McGuire, Private Secretary. " Why certainly, that's me, I’ve been employed there since 1959. This has been a very enjoyable experience and we hope Raymond will invent another device for us to visit all our classmates again soon. Senior Class Will We, the 1959 Graduating Class of Beaver School, in the County of Pike, and the State of Ohio, being of sound mind and memory, and knowing that soon we will be forgotten among the ghosts of hundreds of others, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be Our Last Will and Testament. Sandy entered our School in 1955 as a freshman; this was his junior year in Beaver High School. The band at the present time is the largest in the school history, numbering 49, and is one of the best playing bands that Beaver has ever had. The average grade level of the band students is 7,8 or almost the Eighth grade. There are no seniors. We have participated in the following events this year: Apple Festival, Wellston Band Night, Pike County Music Festival, Hospital Day at Chillicothe, played at the basketball games, and presented a concert. The band represents quite an investment. When you look at the band you are looking at an investment of approximately$9, 000.00 for instruments and uniforms.
