OUR ACTIONS: • Publishing books: Images of America: Pinole (2009) and Pinole Through Time (2015). Purchase them at pinolehistoricalsociety.org or via e-mail at info@pinolehistoricalsociety.org. • Conducting Pinole history programs for fourth-graders in Pinole’s elementary schools, our members, service organizations, non-profits, and the public. • Maintaining a video library of our programs on the Pinole Historical Society YouTube channel. • Installing exhibits and photos at the Pinole Library. • Printing a quarterly newsletter distributed at more than 60 locations and available online at pinolehistoricalsociety.org, featuring stories about the history of Pinole. • Organizing the annual November 11 Veterans Day Memorial and Flag Retirement Ceremony in Fernandez Park. • Coordinating an annual essay contest in Pinole schools. All participants receive certificates, and the grand prize winners in each school receive a gift card to a local store. • Staffing a Pinole Farmers Market booth from April through December.
