Black and white still photograph of a section of flat ice with inner formations, in New Jersey. Detail view (looking straight down) is of a cropped small section of ice, possibly on a river or lake. Majority of the coloring is dark (black) with various lighter toned ice formations. Two large, round, nearly white ice pockets run parallel on the left and far right (half circle; cut off of picture plane). Between the large ice pockets, vertically curving around the one on the left, is a crack formation. Numerous small round ice pockets and underwater air bubbles are seen throughout remaining picture plane.
