From the series "Carin Stones" which included ceramic drawings from star maps and technical drawings to Cairn stones and modern picnic tables. With this series, Strand is interested in the history of how information is captured and shared with humanity. Additionally, according to the artist, he is "inspired by natural and/or human erosion of the landscape/cityscape. These drawings provide a place for the invention of architectural idea, and it is this contemplative place where these ideas are captured on the stone-like forms."Dimensions
