Everett Shinn Painting, "Lady on a Swing", originally installed in Mai's bathroom. Rococo style, painted lush forest garden scene, with female figure thought to be Mai Coe, dressed in 18th Century period clothing, with white wig, standing, holding swing with both hands. Blue satin, ruffled curtain painted at top of composition and hangs halfway down composition, framing. Blue blanket and picnic basket and painted in foreground at bottom of canvas.
Original to Mrs. Coe's bathroom. Returned in 2000 when bought at auction, originally filed as "missing" in Planting Fields archives.Artwork Details
