Notes

In correspondence from W.R. Coe to Charles of London he states that a work with a scene of Venice was done by his uncle William Robertson. However, in 1930 the work is attributed to (Francesco) Guardi under restoration by F.V. Syracuse. It's unclear if the W.R. correspondence about the Venice scene is the same at this work. Further research required (MP 2025)
