Examined by Eric Price in 1996 - gesso layer is lifting extensively with major gesso losses. Some areas have been covered with bronze powder paint. Wood substrate appears to have shrunken, causing the gesso to crack and tent. HIGH PRIORITY for treatment.Provenance
