Description

Frame for portrait of H. H. Rogers. Made of carved wood with gesso, constructed in two sections. Outer frame has a raised convex profile with a band of rope ornament on the outside, egg, and leaf on the convex section . The inner molding has a flat stepped profile with a band of beads on string and leaf and tongue motif on the sight edge. Frame is finished in gold leaf with light red bole.
