Description

An amateur painting by Robert Coe, the second son of W.R. Coe and Mai Rogers Coe (homeowners of Coe Hall). The painting depicts a large portrait of a Duke by artist Carbone that today hangs in the Great Hall. In Robert's painting the portrait was hanging in the dining room as evidenced by the painting of the double doors and black and tan checkered flooring of the dining room corridor.
