A mid-Jacobean style carved oak livery cupboard, largely incorporating 16th and 17th Century wood, reconfigured, probably late 19th-early 20th Century, having a straight molded edge, slightly overhanging top, over a foliate and overlaping-wave-carved frieze, with block-carved and ring-turned side balusters, centering a marquetry-inlaid recessed paneled door, the marquetry depicting foliate and bird design, with wrought iron escutcheon and ring-pull; the lower part of the cabinet with outset molded-edge shelf, over corbel-decorated frieze, over a recessed-paneled door, similarly decorated to the above door, flat-carved designed sides and lower molding edge, the whole, supported on ring-turned and tapered carved baluster legs, with carved box-stretchered based.Cataloged By
