An early-mid 17th Century James I- Charles I oak box-seat open armchair, having a carved, curviate-back crest rail, with carved circle-and-line design, over carved, inset panel of diamond form with curviate arm rests, turned, tapered arm supports, continuing to simple panel front below, open sides, with box-stretchered sides and back, (restoration to arms, some damage to one side stile, back panel may be of later date).
