Mid-18th Century carved walnut Rococo dining side chair. Continental, probably Portuguese, having ornately carved and pierced back, with arched, foliate carved crest, over foliate carved splat, centered by reticulated, foliate-carved seat rail, supported on carved carbriole legs, each ending in hairy, hoofed foot, with curviate and foliate carved H-stretchered base. Seat is upholstered in ivory silk with burgundy and red diamond slipcover.
