A Louis XIV upholstered settee, with straight back crest rail, curved arms, long cushion, supported on eight walnut and burled walnut trumpet-turned and octagonal-tapered legs, ending in flattened ball feet, with curviate carved "X"-stretchered base, upholstered in 18th Century wool needlepoint and petit-point covering, on the back, seat and arms, the needlework, featuring four men on horses, being greeted by three ladies bearing fruits of the harvest and floral bouquets, the seat cushion featuring exotic birds in foliate background.Use
