Elizabethan style refectory table, probably assembled late 19th-early 20th century, having a thick, straight-edge plank top over a deeply molded and carved straight skirt frieze, with stylized gadroon detail, supported on bold, foliate carved and rung turned, tapered baluster legs, with carved molded-edge, box-stretchered base.
Possibly the table referred to in a receipt from Charles of London, 10/31/1923, listed as "1 carved oak table" with "Gallery" handwritten next to it.
Table is made of mostly old parts, assembled at a later date.Collection
