Description

Silver plated coffeepot from the Georgian / Rococo Tiffany & Co. tea and coffee service set. Tall, and narrower than the teapot and water kettle. Has a lobed, curved body, engraved on one side with "MRC" in fancy script, a medial foliate band surround, fluted, foliate spout, curve-handle with ivory spacers, and circular pedestal base with gadrooned edge. Lid should be hinged and attached to pot, but hinge has been broken, and lid is detachable. Stamped on bottom "6496, Tiffany & Co., Makers, Silver-Soldered, 75, 3 Pint, I" and "77" on bottom left.
