White marble mantlepiece with sections of blue-grey marble carved with straight lines in relief. Features three cameo type carvings. The left depicts a cherub holding a nest with eggs in the right hand and a bird in the other on a dark green ground. The center has two cherubs with instruments (a flute and a lyre respectively) the one on the left is touching the others' head while the cherub seated on the right hand side plays. Off-white figures on a light blue ground. The right has a single cherub with open wings and a strand of garland wrapped around his arms and waist. Off-white on a dark green ground.Cataloged By
