A French circular ceramic charger in blue velvet covered, molded wood frame, having a hand painted surface showing an elegantly dressed young woman riding side saddle on a dapple grey horse, a King Charles spaniel barking at the horse's feet. The background is of raised, quatrafoil gilt design, with a stylized chain surround. Signed at l.r. - "Ab: Schilt / de la Man..." Marked on reverse: "B & Cie / Depose / Creil et..."

Notes: Mr. Watson claims that his childhood home was decorated by Louis Comfort Tiffany. He recalls that the charger was given by Tiffany to his sister as a wedding gift. Mr. Watson, who was 4 years old at the time, was the ring bearer. Status: OK
