Description

William and Mary Side Chair, Gallery West Wall, (2 of 2). Pair of carved walnut William and Mary Style chairs, probably Late 19th Century, having ornate floral and foliate carving overall, with boldly curved and pierced foliate-carved crest rail. The in-curved side styles also with carving, centered by a carved and pierced splat over upholstered seat. Supported on cyma-curved legs with bell flower carved knees , ending in octagonal button feet. Carved curviate stretchered base, fine example of this revival style.
