Description

A Chemex coffee carafe, with a symmetrical top and base, made of glass with a wooden holder around the tapered middle of the carafe that is held in place by a leather tie and wooden ball piece. This particular model uses a 20" round filter with an extra fold, one of which, is already inside of the carafe. The Chemex coffee making system was developed by a chemist to achieve the perfect cup of coffee by extracting only the desirable parts of the coffee bean. Note that the instructions and information guide was provided to Planting Fields in 2006 to go with our model that was made between 1940 & 1950, this booklet has been scanned an appears in the picture file of this record.
