In 1975, a fire in the sacristy of Valparaiso’s Immanuel Lutheran Church on Washington Street quickly spread to the sanctuary’s pulpit. The curator of the Porter County Museum at the time, Bertha Stalbaum, was one of the sixty-three members who purchased the property after the fire, renamed the church Heritage Lutheran, and oversaw its restoration to its original state.Dimensions
