Scope and Content

Photos of Scarlet Curve, a Portage County band that features Mike Alvarez (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Paul Gollata (Bass), and Greg Hansen (Drums/Background Vocals). A previous band member, Joel Gomez, can also be seen in some of the photos here. Their song Old Man was in the 2020 movie Go Fast Pull Up; a Redbull movie focused on Jimmy LeVan's story within BMX history. They've played local events including LevittAmp and Jammin' July. The Scarlet Curve's website bio reads: They've been described as "a true song writing machine with heartfelt feelings" and a "must see and real treat. Scarlet Curve formed in 2008 when Mike Alvarez was looking to form a band and met Greg Hansen through a mutual co-worker. Their first gig happened during an open mic at Brickhouse Tavern in Stevens Point, WI in January 2009. That 30-minute set propelled them on a path to become the #1 alternative rock band in Central Wisconsin. Scarlet Curve has played for countless charity causes, festivals all around Wisconsin, bars and music venues of any size, and even on the flatbed of an 18-wheeler! Their music comes from their past experiences of life and love, and their sound is truly unique, with elements of metal, blues, grunge, and even a little country. Scarlet Curve’s live shows are one-of-a-kind and need to be experienced!
