Black and white photograph looking over trees and hives at the Valparaiso Bee Yard, which was founded by Jacob Van Wyngarden around 1920, and continues to this day as the Northwest Indiana Beekeepers Association. Jacob and his brother, Cornelius, came to the Hebron/Lowell area of Indiana in 1914 from Chicago. They purchased two yards of bees from Fred Cavanagh. These hives were photographed on July 3, 1938.Acquisition
