Photo shows the damage done to the tower structure of the courthouse after the 1934 fire. According to the Vidette-Messenger, flames rose some 175 feet in the air from the tower after firefighters were unable to get control of the fire. Significant structural damage is visible in the photo as well as blackened and burned out windows. Above the tower structure, an "X" in ink has been placed on the front of the photo and the bottom is labeled "The Bell ruins." On the back, the date is given.Acquisition
