One of six small ceramic plates with polychrome images of colonial revival Revolutionary themes, with brown rim and edging of blue stars, with text. This one depicts Patrick Henry and says; "March 20, 1775. Replying to British acts of tyranny, Patrick Henry delivers an impassioned plea for 'Liberty or Death' before a small group of patriots assembled at St. Johns Church, Richmond, Virginia." Each marked on back “Made in Japan” and “[copyright] 0.0.1. 1975.” Diam. 6 1/8 in. NB: low quality ceramics, most fitted with added hanger. Additional text: “WARNING / FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. NOT TO BE USED FOR SERVING FOODS.”Collection
