Notes: oil paint on canvas Mrs. Albert Remick (Caroline A Beck), the donor, born 1833, daughter of Albert M Beck. Loaned several things in 1920 when house opened--these became gifts. Portrait may have come at that time. The Remicks lived in NYC--he was jeweler and salesman, according to passport applications. 1920 census Carrie A Remick a widow living in NYC. 1900 census indicates she had borne 2 children but none were then living.
