Painting of the doorway of the Counting House of Alexander Ladd. Part of the "Portsmouth Doorways" series. The painting shows what is now the doorway to the Counting House that is part of the Moffatt-Ladd House complex. The Counting House served as Alexander Ladd's office. It was built ca. 1832, the date Ladd moved out of his rented office on Merchants' Row.
