Green glass decanter or bottle with image of JPJ in circle on front, and legend: “1747 JOHN PAUL JONES 1792” and © 70 W.” In circle on back, image of ship with legend: ‘THE DEADLY EMBRACE / ‘I HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT’.” H. 8 ½ in., w. 4 ½ in., D. 2 in. Original box with inscriptions: on top and bottom, “the ‘Great American’ series” [in script]; on front and back: “the ‘Great American’ series [in script] / JOHN / PAUL / JONES / Commemorative Decanter [in script]; on sides, “WHEATON / W / NULINE”. Box H. 8 ½ in., W. 5 in., D. 2 ½ in. Wheaton/Nuline started producing glass in 1965; company name changed to Wheaton Products in 1973.
