One of six small ceramic plates with polychrome images of colonial revival Revolutionary themes, with brown rim and edging of blue stars, with text. This one depicts Paul Revere and says; "Receiving a signal, warning them that the British troops were marching, Paul Revere, William Dawes, and other patriots warn colonists to prepare for Battle on the night of April 18, 1775. A skirmish is fought at Lexington, Massachusetts on April 19, 1775, and the Revolutionary War begins." Each marked on back “Made in Japan” and “[copyright] 0.0.1. 1975.” Diam. 6 1/8 in. NB: low quality ceramics, most fitted with added hanger. Additional text: “WARNING / FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. NOT TO BE USED FOR SERVING FOODS.”Collection
