Sampler on linen ground with likely linen thread. Techniques used include cross stitch as well as drawnwork around the edge. Simple composition for this date, with rows of alphabets and numerals. Signed "Almira Hilton/ Aged 14 Years/ Portsmouth June 14 1825." An interesting feature is the inclusion of a half crown just above and to the left of her name.
