Notes: Souvenir Dish Depicting "old Jackson House, Portsmouth, N.H." England or Germany, ca. 1900 Porcelain The Jackson house, built about 1664, is in the Christian Shores neighborhood and is the oldest surviving wood-frame house in the state. It has been maintained by Historic New England since 1924. Its picturesque lines frequently caught the eye of the tourists and antiquarians.
