Description

Sewing case rectangular in form with one end terminating in a point; houses several compartments for small sewing materials, and fashioned from several different fabrics; red hearts attached; accompanied by an old pencil note, Brief research suggests original owner may have been Hannah (Lang) Chadbourne (1737-1813), the wife of Thomas Chadbourne (1730-1810) and mother of Hannah (1763-1847) (who might have been named Martha) who in any event married Philip Page (1758/59-1825).
