Small mug commemorating Lafayette and Washington; round mug with applied strap handle, depicting on one side and image of George Washington in a laurel-wreathed medallion with "WASHINGTON" above and "HIS COUNTRY"S FATHER" below; on opposite side an image of Lafayette in a similar medallion with "FAYETTE" above and 'THE NATION'S GUEST" below; on front opposite handle, an image of the American eagle with stars above and with olive branch and arrows in talons, clasping in its beak a banner with "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and with "REPUBLICANS" above and "ARE NOT Always UNGRATEFUL" BELOW; beneath this image is the maker's inscription, "Rh Hall & Son"
