Pair or women's leather slippers with pointed toes and the label of Abner Newhall of Portsmouth. The small paper label, affixed to the inside of one of the slippers, has the following text surrounded by a typographic border composed of several different types of ornaments: "ABNER NEWHALL's / SHOE STORE / Opposite the Sign of the / Golden Pitcher Daniel Street, PORTSMOUTH, (N.H.)"
