One of six small ceramic plates with polychrome images of colonial revival Revolutionary themes, with brown rim and edging of blue stars, with text. This one depicts the Boston Tea Party and says; "Protesting British taxes on tea, a party of patriots disguise themselves as Indians, and on the night of December 16, 1773, board an English vessel at Griffin's wharf and dump 342 chests of tea into Boston harbor." Each marked on back “Made in Japan” and “[copyright] 0.0.1. 1975.” Diam. 6 1/8 in. NB: low quality ceramics, most fitted with added hanger. Additional text: “WARNING / FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. NOT TO BE USED FOR SERVING FOODS.”Collection
