Description

U.S. Victory Medal awarded to Justin Downing Hartford. On the front is an image of a winged Victory; on the back is fasces bundle with a shield behind it. On the top is inscribed "THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILIZATION." On the left going down is inscribed: " FRANCE / ITALY / SERBIA / JAPAN / MONTENEGRO / RUSSIA / GREECE." On the right going down is inscribed: "GREAT / BRITAIN / BELGIUM / BRAZIL / PORTUGAL / RUMANIA / CHINA." There are six stars along the bottom. The pin is intact.
