Joyce Zavorskas is a contemporary artist that has exhibited in London, Paris, New York, Philadelphia, California, Boston, and Cape Cod. Many of her recent works focus on erosional landforms, investigating images of natural disorder and nature’s disruption of familiar landscapes. These works from 1989 during her time in the Peaked Hill dune shack are more homogenous, though reveal the rustic architecture of the shack itself. They are weathered structures that are often built on pilings to adjust to the constantly changing environment.Acquisition
