Description
The image is of Pieta in Basilica of San Giovanni. The white sculpture contrasts with the black background. Mary has one arm reaching out with the other holding the head of christ. This is after Jesus was on the cross as his crown of thorns lay at Mary's feet, and there are holes on the palm and feet of Christ. Jesus is propped up against Mary's leg while Mary looks upwards.
